  Peace Peace is the secret of the prosperity of the world . The poem is  written by a famous poetess ,  Dr.Silvia Hartmann .  His poetry is simple but profounds in thoughts. Her favourite themes are  nature and the hardships of  the  poor . This poem also shows the poetess's pure delight. "Peace" is a metaphorical poem. The whole poem works as a single metaphor. It is about the  wind . In the first stanza, the wind is presented as a devil . It destroys every beautiful thing. In the second stanza,wind becomes a lover uttering sweet whispers. Thus the personification of the wind lends beauty to the poem. Wind teaches lessons   through different forms . The wind is now A roaring, smashing Monster of destruction, Raking all man's work From the valleys, From the vales, And sends them spinning, Broken pieces- The second stanza depicts the graceful aspect of nature. Here wind has taken the form of a gentle breeze ....

The alarming and incessant growth of population is causing a serious ecomic  problemsin almost all continents.Great pressure is being placed on arable land,water,energy and biological resources. As the world population being grow,the food problem will become increasingly severe. The most vulnerable will be population in developing countries.The pe capita availablitity of food grains has been declining for the past 25 years.Certainly with a quarter milion people being added to the world population each day,the need for grains and all other food will reach unprorcedented levels. Below,world popoulation and its growth trend are given. 10,000 years ago,10 million people By 1850, population was 1 billion. 80 more years to reach 2 billion in 1930 45 years, it double again (4 billion in 1975) 12 years to reach 5 billion in (1987) 6 billion in 1999 By the year 2020,there will be 8 billion.
